ACADEMIC POLICY COMMITTEE CHARGE

       In charge of the thorough revision and updating of Academic Rules

       Address any other issues raised that involve changes to the Academic Rules

2 Student Representatives appointed by the VPAA, one directly from the SBA board, and the other through a student body application process. Together students have 1 vote. Student reps are responsible for attending committee meetings, and reporting any updates to the VPAA.

 

ADMISSIONS, RECRUITMENT & RETENTION COMMITTEE CHARGE

       Review and revision, if necessary, of admissions policy

       Review admissions files

       Advise and recommend to dean and faculty recruiting and retention policies

       Advise dean and faculty on policies that relate to student financial aid and student debt.

2 Student Representatives (3D or 4E only) appointed by the VPAA, one directly from the SBA board, and the other through a student body application process. Together students have 1 vote. Student reps are responsible for attending committee meetings, and reporting any updates to the VPAA.

 

CURRICULUM COMMITTEE CHARGE

       Implement policy adopted by faculty last year for curricular development and reform

       Consider and adjust curricular recommendations to account for decreasing size of student body and, over time, faculty and staff resources

       Establish template for periodic reviews of law school institutes and programs

       Make recommendations to the faculty regarding changes to the Social Justice course that captures effectively and respectfully the Catholic identity of the University and Law School

       Make recommendations for the measure of outputs in courses and throughout the curriculum

       The committee will also report on the use of condensed course formats
